What is "faux"? It is a French word for illusion or imitation. Faux painting is used transform a simple space into a room with its own character and style. Faux brings color, texture and character to something in need of attention, a focal point that is artistic and noticeable. Faux painting is typically done on walls, furniture, cabinets, fireplace, doors, and of course whatever else the mind can conceive.

Using faux techniques, I can make plain walls look like stone, leather, wood or whatever; the sky's the limit. Many faux designs resemble the Greco-Roman, Renaissance, Persian, Country French or "Old World" designs. Their beauty is ancient and still captivating.

In today's high-end decor, faux painting creates a timeless look. and it draws attention and is often a good conversation starter and inviting.

I have over 20 years of experience in custom painting and faux finishing, with a background in painting murals,graphic design, and illustration.
